Specifically, the sides that were posted at psychspoilers here. I have a lot of thoughts on them, and I need opinions.

THOUGHTS UNDER THE CUT!

THIS IS WHAT SIMULTANEOUSLY FILLS MY HEART WITH JOY AND TERROR AND UNCERTAINTY AT THE SAME TIME:

SHAWN: Because we moved past the whole — “When are we moving in together? When are we getting married?” — thing. We both know that’ll happen sometime WAY down the road, but until then, we’re free to just relax and enjoy each other’s company.

I love this because it’s not an “if we move in, if we get married” thing. it’s WHEN. Like, he knows it’s going to happen. And, just. If you’ll give me a minute to keysmash: AHHHHHHHHHDLFKJDFLKDJFLKJDKLFTHEM.

There is my joy. My terror and uncertainty comes from the fact that, if you actually look at the sides this is both (a) from the season finale, according to Wikipedia, and (b) at the beginning of the episode, the scene before it is a young Shawn flashback. So, as soon as I read this the first thing that went through my mind was the episode from season four, where they think Juliet gets infected with that virus or whatever. You all know the one I’m talking about. I don’t remember the EXACT dialogue from the beginning, but I know near the very beginning of the episode, Shawn and Gus are talking and Gus says something to Shawn about why doesn’t he make a move with Juliet and Shawn says something about when the time is right, things will happen. AGAIN, I don’t remember exactly what is said, but anyway. My point IS.

I think this episode and situation is going to mirror that season four episode. Here, Shawn is telling Gus things are good, they can relax, things are going to happen down the road. And then, near the end of the episode something is going to happen that’s going to make him change his mind, just like he did in the season four episode. There, he changed his mind about waiting for things to happen with Juliet when he thought she might die from that virus and he was going to tell her how he felt. And in this episode it’s either going to be really, really awesome (he proposes/they move in together) or really, really bad (break up). I also have no idea what the something that happens to make him think otherwise could be. I could also be wrong about the whole situation, but knowing this is the finale, I just don’t think anything else could happen, because something big HAS to happen. I JUST NEED MORE INFORMATION NOW. Anyway. If you read this, I applaud you. If not, I just had to get my thoughts out. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK IF YOU DID READ.
